Having grown up in the Philippines, I developed a strong passion at an early age for my family and the Seattle Seahawks. From the day I saw the movie Free Willy 2, I wanted to copy everything that Jesse, the main character, was wearing. I wondered what the logo was on his cap and I found he was wearing a Seattle Seahawks cap. I knew at that moment, I was a 12th Man for life. I knew my destiny would somehow, someday bring me to Seattle to cheer for my beloved Seahawks, but as a child this path was far from clear. As the years passed, I met and married my husband, and moved to the United States to chase my dreams of being a professional consultant and my passion for the Seahawks never subsided.
The only hiccup was I now lived in California, but, I was certain I was still destined to one day live in Seattle. A consulting opportunity finally delivered my family to Seattle. As I continued to hone my professional craft and enjoy my experiences delivering consulting services to amazing clients, I knew in my heart that destiny was far from done with me. My personal family life was amazing (as it continues to be today), but my professional life felt lacking. I wanted a professional family too, and I finally found one at Coppei. It is with Coppei that I found stability in my career, like-minded individuals that value family first, and an extremely impressive list of client partners.
Little did I know that my new Coppei family would also help me achieve a life’s long dream. After explaining my love of the Seahawks to the Coppei Leadership Team during my new employee orientation, they immediately surprised me with 4 tickets close to the field for the next home game. As I stood in the stadium cheering for the raising of the 12th Man Flag, struggling to maintain a myriad of emotions, I thought of that small boy in the Philippines and the amazing journey that brought him to Coppei and delivered him to Century Link Field preparing to watch his first ever live Seahawks kick off.
I am a 12th Man and I am Coppei!
